(ADVANCED COUNCIL TRAINING LEVEL TWO/CT2)
Deepening council workshop
November 16-17, 2024
Times: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm each day (with 1-hour lunch breaks)
Location: Highland Park, CA
Trainers: TBD
This training is geared toward experienced council facilitators who have taken a Foundation council workshop and have been facilitating council for some time with some direct experience with the inspiring, and sometimes challenging, situations that arise – including encountering resistance, conflict, and "shadow."
embracing the inner-work of council
Deepening Council is an advanced workshop for facilitators who might be starting to examine some personal obstacles, resistance, and "blind spots" that have emerged in their practitioner development or for those sensing a need for greater fluency in self-regulation and grounding for themselves and in their work with groups.
leaning in
Deepening Council delves into the specific forms of council suited for a variety of situations and explores the joys and challenges of bringing council into different parts of our lives. It offers a chance to develop more facility with "reading the interactive field" and learning to invite "the witness" perspective.
One of this advanced council training's primary intentions is to support practitioners who are starting to encounter the sometimes powerful energies released in council and to offer encouragement to move out of one's comfort zones and to “turn into the skid,” learning how to navigate and best serve the circle, while maintaining safety and containment.
what we cover
This training workshop focuses more on mechanics and important tools and models that can be very helpful in deepening one's work, and in navigating nuances while facilitating.
We discuss technical modifications, structures, and troubleshooting to assist you in facilitating council.
N.B. We recommend that you have completed at least one Foundation Council workshop and have gained experience facilitating council before taking the Deepening Council workshop.
